A Southern Wedding Full of Tradition

Any Southern bride worth her salt (or her sweet tea) knows that tradition is an essential part of a Southern wedding. Whether it is wearing her Mama’s pearl necklace, carrying a replica of her Grandmother’s bouquet, or getting married in the same church where Mama and Daddy tied the knot, tradition is as much a part of Southern weddings as the bridal gown and the wedding cake. Southern Weddings Magazine has an absolutely gorgeous wedding inspiration shoot featured in V5 that is the quintessential tradition-laden celebration. Imagine magnolias, the bride’s initials and wedding date embroidered on blue ribbon to stitch into her gown (“something blue”), sentimental letters to the guests, and the groom in a handsome bow tie. The classic white, silver, and green wedding color palette is simply exquisite as well.

Enjoy all of the beautiful photos, and then let us know what family traditions you plan to include in your wedding – special bridal jewelry, a monogrammed hankie, cake pulls? We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
