Whenever you think that weddings have become too showy or expensive or have lost their meaning, sometimes all you need is a good dose of sentimental wedding pictures to change your mind. We tell brides that waterproof mascara and a hankie are as essential as the right dress and wedding jewelry, but brides aren’t the only ones who have been known to shed a few tears at their weddings. Love and romance are very much alive at modern weddings – one look at the emotion on the faces of these grooms proves it.

One of the most touching wedding stories I ever heard was of a groom who was so overcome with joy at the sight of his bride coming down the aisle in her custom wedding gown and pearl necklace that he began to sob uncontrollably. The wedding ceremony actually had to be halted for several minutes while the emotional groom collected himself enough to continue. What woman doesn’t want to be loved that much? I think that is what makes these pictures of grown men wiping away tears of joy so special – you can really see how much they love their brides. And that is why I always watch the groom’s face when he is watching his bride.
