Put your shoes in your bridesmaid shoes. You invited them to be part of your wedding and with that invitation come their realization that they will have to spend for everything that is needed to be part of your entourage.
Expenses that comes to being a bridesmaid includes the bridesmaid dress and all the needed accessories, make up, transportation and accommodation, and the bridal shower and bachelorette party.
If this doesn’t count as saying she is your friend, then by all means do not give them their gifts. But if you think that giving them bridesmaid jewelry gifts will show your appreciation, then give them the gifts they will forever be thankful for.
